Thea Einöder ( German: Thea Einöder ; born , ), in marriage Straube ( German Straube ) - a German rower who played for the German national rowing team in the mid-1970s years. Winner of the bronze medal of the Summer Olympic Games in Montreal , bronze medalist of the World Cup, winner of regattas of national and international importance.

Biography
Thea Einoder was born on June 8, 1951 in the city of Regensburg , Germany . She was trained in Munich at one of the local rowing clubs Rudergesellschaft München.
She first appeared in rowing in 1968, becoming the champion of West Germany among juniors in the twin-boat program.
She took part in the world championship in 1974 in Lucerne , where she took seventh place in the four oar with steering.
The first serious success at the adult international level was in the 1975 season, when she entered the main team of the West German national team and attended the World Championships in Nottingham , from where she brought the bronze dignity won in the offset of the oar steering fours - only the crews from the German Democratic Republic advanced ahead and Bulgaria.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, she was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal - together with her partner Edith Ekbauer won the bronze Olympic medal in wheelless doubles, losing in the final to teams from Bulgaria and East Germany. It was the first Olympic medal in the history of women's West German rowing.
Soon after the end of the Montreal Olympics, Aynoder decided to end her career as an athlete. For outstanding sports achievements she was awarded by President Walter Scheel the highest sports award in Germany “ Silver Bay Leaf ” [1] .
