Jamar Wilson ( born Jamar Wilson ; born February 22, 1984 in the Bronx , New York , USA ) is an American and Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard . He plays for the basketball club Litkabelis and the national team of Finland .

School and College
Wilson attended the New American Savior School in a suburb of New York. In high school, he scored an average of 14.2 points, gave 5.1 assists, made 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 interceptions, and in 2002 he led the Pioneers team to the result of the 25-11 National Championship, Division I for high school students. At college level, he played for New York State University at Albany from 2002 to 2007. Almost immediately he was noticeable and received several awards, including the best newcomer to the America East Conference, and also got into the second national team of the conference with a score of 18.9 points and 3.3 assists on average per match. After the missing season of 2003–04, he returned to the NCAA and again ended up in the second national team of the conference.
In the next two seasons, Wilson added and led the Great Danes college team to the two final NCAA tournaments. Wilson was selected both times in the first team of the America East conference, and also both times was recognized as the best player in the conference. Also twice became the MVP of America East Conference. In addition, according to the Associated Press, he was twice elected to the All-American team. [one]
Over his career at Albany, he scored 2.164 points, the most in history. He also held records in the number of points scored for the season (620), the number of penalties realized for a career (601), as well as second place in the number of assists (488). Wilson is the first player in Albany's history to be phased out. [2]

Club
Belgium (2007–2010)
In August 2007, Wilson signed a contract for the 2007–08 season with the Belgian club Verviers-Pepinster . [3] In 27 matches for the team, on average, he scored 17.6 points, made 2.2 rebounds, gave 3 assists and made 1.3 interceptions.
In August 2008, Wilson moved to another Belgian club, Liege , the contract was designed for the 2008–09 season. [3] In 30 matches of the championship of Belgium, on average, he scored 9.8 points, made 2.6 rebounds, gave 2.9 assists and made 1 interception.
In September 2009, the player signed a contract with Alstar club for the 2009–10 season. [3] In 28 championship matches, on average, he scored 12.3 points, made 1.8 rebounds, gave 2.6 assists and made 1.4 interceptions.
Finland (2010–2011)
In September 2010, Wilson signed a contract with the Honka club , representing the Finnish Basketball Championship for the 2010–11 season. [3] In the match against the Namika team in January 2011, the player scored 45 points, and two days later scored 44 points in the match against Helsinki Seagalls . In just 42 matches, the Finnish team scored an average of 21.8 points per match, made 4 rebounds, gave 3.3 assists and made 1.1 interceptions.
Australia (2011–2015)
On August 5, 2011, Wilson signed a contract with the Australian club Cairns Typans for the 2011–12 season. [4] Twice became the best player of the week and at the end of the season took second place in the vote for the title of MVP . [five]
April 3, 2012 Wilson signed a new contract with the club for a period of two years. [6]
March 1, 2014 scored the best in his career 33 points, made 8 rebounds and gave 6 assists, and his team with a score of 92–87 defeated the New Zealand Breakers . [7]
In April 2014, the player announced that he would not renew the contract with Taipans for the 2014–15 season. [eight]
On July 8, 2014, Wilson signed a one-year agreement with the Adelaide Fety Sixers team. [9] January 13, 2015 became a player of the week after scoring 22 points in the match against Melbourne United . [10] He also once again became a player of the week after scoring 25 points in a match against Townsville Crocodiles . [11] After the results of the 2014–15 season, Wilson entered the second league team, [12] Wilson received the Mark Davis Prize as an MVP club. [13]
Over four seasons in the Australasian Championship, a player played 107 matches, averaging 16.6 points, making 4.7 rebounds and giving 3.1 assists per game. [14]
France (2015)
On March 12, 2015, Wilson signed a short-term contract with the French club Rouen until the end of the 2014–15 season. [15] In eight matches for the club, on average, he scored 9.5 points, made 2.8 rebounds and gave 2.3 assists. [sixteen]
Serbia (2015–2016)
On November 7, 2015, Wilson signed a contract with the Serbian basketball club Partizan until the end of the 2015–16 season. [17] [18]
Spain (2016–2017)
On August 1, 2016, Wilson moved to the Estudiantes Championship of Spain for the 2016–17 season. [nineteen]
France (2017–2018)
On November 7, 2017, Wilson signed a contract for the 2017–18 season with the French club Nanterre . [20]
Lithuania (2018– present )
On August 2, 2018, the player signed a contract with the Lithuanian club Litkabelis . [21]
International
Wilson was never called to the US team, so after he got Finnish citizenship, [22] the player became a potential candidate for the Finnish national team . [23] He made his debut for the Finnish national team on August 1, 2015 in a friendly match against the French team. [24]
Wilson took part in the 2015 European Basketball Championship . On September 5, 2015, he made his debut for the national team in official matches, in the first round, the Finnish team in overtime lost to France with a score of 97–87, and the player scored the most points in his national team (21). [25] In the fourth match of the group stage, in which Finland beat the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 88–59, Wilson scored the most points in the national team (16). [26] At the tournament, on average, he scored 12 points, made 1.6 rebounds and gave 2.8 assists. [27]
