Narodna Rada - parliamentary opposition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1990-1994. Opposed the communist parliamentary majority - the For Sovereign Soviet Ukraine group.
The People’s Rada was formed at the end of May 1990 from members of the Democratic bloc, it included 125 parliamentarians.
The head of the Rada was I. Yukhnovsky , deputies - L. Lukyanenko , P. Pavlychko , A. Emets and V. Filenko , secretary - L. Tanyuk .
The activities of the People’s Rada had a great influence on the adoption of the Declaration on State Sovereignty of Ukraine and the Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine .
