Dmitry Vasilievich Zakharuk ( Ukrainian: Dmitro Vasilovich Zakharuk ; born February 15, 1940 , village Zadubrovtsy of the Stanislav region of the Ukrainian SSR ) - Ukrainian statesman, chairman of the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council (1990), deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the I convocation (1990 -1992).

Biography

He was born on February 15, 1940 in the village of Zadubrovtsy, Stanislavskaya Oblast (now Snyatynsky District, Ivano-Frankivsk Region ) of the Ukrainian SSR into a peasant family.

In 1958 he graduated from Kolomyia Pedagogical College. He also graduated from the Drogobych Pedagogical Institute and the Lviv State University .

In 1958, he was a senior pioneer leader at the Krasnostavskaya seven-year school of the Snyatynsky district of the Stanislav region, then he worked as a teacher in the Podvysokovskaya secondary school of the Snyatynsky region, since 1959 he was a teacher of the Verhneymaydansky seven-year school of the Stanislav region, then a teacher of the Zadubrovsky school of the Stanislav region.

Since 1961 he worked in Polyukhovskaya elementary school in the Lviv region , since 1969 he was the head of the department of letters and mass work of the Peremyshlyansky regional newspaper “Pobeda” in the Lviv region.

Since 1975, he worked as executive secretary, then correspondent, head of the agricultural department of the regional newspaper Prikarpatskaya Pravda ( Ivano-Frankivsk ), since 1979, he was a student of the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Ukrainian SSR ( Kiev ).

Since 1981 he was the head of the agricultural department of the newspaper Prykarpatskaya Pravda, since 1982 he was his own correspondent for TASS- RATAU in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and since 1986 he has been the executive secretary of the regional organization of the Union of Journalists of the USSR .

Since 1987, he worked as an economist at the Prut agricultural firm, and was the chief editor of the Agro information and advertising newspaper.

He was a member of the CPSU , took part in the creation of the Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Language Society, the People’s Rukh of Ukraine , and the Democratic Party of Ukraine .

In 1990, during the first alternative parliamentary elections in the Ukrainian SSR, he was nominated as a candidate for people's deputies by the labor collective of the Zadubrovsky state farm, on March 4, 1990 in the first round he was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the XII convocation (hereinafter - the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine I convocation ) from the Snyatyn constituency No. 220 of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, got 50.29% of the vote among 5 candidates. In parliament, he was a member of the commission on planning, budget, finance and prices, was a member of the People’s Rada deputy group, was a member of the People’s Rukh faction of Ukraine and the Congress of National Democratic Forces, and was a deputy until June 18, 1992. At the same time, from April to September 1990, he was chairman of the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council.

In the parliamentary elections in March 1994, he was a candidate for People’s Deputies of Ukraine in the Nadvirnyansky constituency No. 201 of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the first round received 33.06% of the vote, took 1st place among 14 candidates, in the second round received 35.13% of the vote among the two candidates, he took second place and was not elected.

From 2010 to 2015, he was elected as a deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council from the Batkivshchyna Party [1] .
