Riva Palacio ( Spanish: Riva Palacio ) is a municipality in Mexico , Chihuahua with the administrative center in the village of San Andres . The population according to the 2010 census was 8,012 people.

General information
The name Riva Palacio is given in honor of the interventionist fighter , politician and writer Vicente Riva Palacio [3] .
The area of ββthe municipality is 2263 kmΒ², which is 0.91% of the total state area [4] , and the highest point - 2309 meters, is located in the settlement of Campo Sesenta i Uno i Medio [1] .
It borders with other municipalities of the state of Chihuahua: in the north with Namikipa , in the east with Chihuahua , in the south with Santa Isabel and Gran Morelos , in the west with Quautemoc .
