Semifinals
During the 1st semifinal at the last turn before the final straight, a collision occurred between Klebo and Ustyugov , which is why the Russian almost fell. As a result, Klebo took second place and made it to the finals of the competition, Ustyugov became the fifth and dropped out. After the finish, a verbal skirmish occurred between the athletes, during which the Russian skier pushed the Norwegian and slapped him on the cheek. For this act Ustyugov received a yellow card. The Russian national team, however, filed a protest against the behavior of the Norwegian Johannes Clebo, who was rejected. Ustyugov was disqualified, and his result in the sprint was canceled [1] .
