Description

Ants with a dimorphic caste of workers (including soldiers ). They differ from the related species of the subgenus Myrmamblys in two-tone coloration (chest reddish-yellow), two light marks on the second, third and fourth tergites of the abdomen, short scape of the antennae, short spaced setae on the mandibles, cheeks and clypeus, the structure of the clypeus (its anterior part is straight, without protrusions in the sides). Working ants have a length of about 3 mm, soldiers up to 5 mm. The main color from tan to brownish-black. Antennae long, in females and workers 12-segmented. Stinging workers with 5 teeth. The mandibular palps are 6-segmented, the lower labial palps are composed of 4 segments. The stalk between the breast and the abdomen consists of one segment ( petiol ) [1] [3] .
