Kozani ( Greek Δήμος Κοζάνης [2] ) is a community (dim) in Greece . Included in the peripheral unit of Kozani in the periphery of Western Macedonia . The population of 71,388 is the 2011 census. [2] The area of the community is 1071,251 square kilometers [1] . Density - 66.64 people per square kilometer [2] . The administrative center is Kozani . In 2014, Eleftherios Ioannidis ( Ελευθέριος Ιωαννίδης ) was elected Dimarch at the local elections.

The community was created in 1918 ( Greek ΦΕΚ 98Α ). In 2010 ( Greek ΦΕΚ 87Α ), according to the Kallikratis program , the abolished communities of Dimitrios-Ipsandis, Eani, Elimiya, and Elispondos were added to the Kozani community [3] .
