Biography
Born in 1803 in Vienna [1] in the family of the court artist Napoleon Rene Burton , sister of the artist George Burton .
Initially, she studied painting with her father, then took lessons from a French miniaturist - Madame Lizinsky de Mirbel .
In March 1837, together with his father, exhibited five of her miniatures in the Royal Museum (Louvre). Then she regularly exhibited at the Salon (until 1859). She was awarded the medals of the Salon: bronze (1840), silver (1841) and gold (1845). Her work Portrait de M. Nacquart was presented at the 1855 World's Fair in Paris.
The artist’s workshop was located at 50 rue de Bellechasse , and then at 74 rue Saint-Dominique (since 1853).
She died on January 31, 1871 in Paris. [one]

Sidoni Burton's works are in museums in France, as well as in the Art Museum in St. Louis , Missouri , USA ( Femme en robe rouge et noire ) [2] .
