Born October 20, 1931 in Leningrad in a family of chemical engineers. Blockade, evacuated to the mainland in the spring of 1942.

He graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (1948-1956) and his graduate school (1962), prepared his dissertation at the IPPE (Obninsk).

Since 1956, he worked at Department No. 1 (“Radiation Safety of Man and the Environment”) of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute: assistant, head of a scientific group, associate professor, professor.

Research interests: radiation physics, theory and physics of protection against ionizing radiation, radiation safety during decommissioning of nuclear power plants. Doctor of Technical Sciences (1970), Professor (1971).

The author of 350 scientific works, including 29 books. Publications:
