The length of the narrow body of adult insects (adults) is 4.9-6.6 mm. They are distinguished by a stocky body, pronotum widest in the middle, distal pubescence of the elytra, arcuate apexes of elites. Prothorax with collar. Lateral margin of pronotum whole, smooth. The eyes are large, almost in contact with the pronotum. Larvae supposedly develop on various deciduous trees . They are found from April to July at altitudes from 150 to 2500 m. The valid status was confirmed during an audit conducted in 2011 by Canadian coleopterologists Edward Jendek and Vasily Grebennikov ( Ottawa , Canada ) [1] .
