Caudilism ( Spanish caudillo - “leader” or “leader”, official title of the Spanish dictator Franco ) is a regime of personal power of dictators in Spain (until 1975) and in a number of Latin American countries , established through a military coup and relying directly on military force. Also, “caudillos” can be called political leaders with unlimited local power.
