Biography
Born in Rockport, Indiana [1] . In 1902 he received a bachelor's degree, and in 1903 he became a master of the Indian university . After graduation, he worked at the US Fisheries Bureau in Washington [2] . In 1915, he received a master's degree from Stanford University . In 1919 he defended his thesis for a PhD degree at Cornell University . He worked in US universities, making a career and becoming a professor. He was a publishing council that published monographs on the ecology of South America. In 1950, Indiana University awarded him an honorary doctorate.
Family
He was married (since March 1927), a son and daughter were born [1] .
