He graduated from Tbilisi University (1950).
He worked at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Georgian SSR: researcher, deputy. Head of the Elbrus expedition (1951-1958), head. laboratory, deputy Director (1959-1962), senior researcher, since 1965 the head. Department of Cosmic Rays and High Energy Physics.
Candidate (1960), doctor (1968) of physical and mathematical sciences.
