History

In 1990, due to the negative environmental impact of the activities of the Astrakhan gas complex, Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of 08.17.1990 No. 309 Aisapay was included in the list of settlements located in the 8-km sanitary protection zone of the Astrakhan gas complex, in the territory of which the coefficient for work in desert and waterless areas in the amount of 1.35 to the wages of workers and employees [4] .

In the 2010s, the massive resettlement of settlements began, Aisapay emptied.

Geography

The village is located in the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain , on a peninsula formed by the Akhtuba river (sleeve of the Volga river ) and the Lanchug canal [5] .

The absolute height is 23 meters below sea ​​level [6] .
