Fritz Schulenburg ( German: Fritz Schulenburg ; September 4, 1894 , Jericho - August 5, 1933 , Tangermünde ) - German anti-fascist , resistance fighter.

The son of a worker. After graduating from elementary school, he worked in the woodworking industry, in agricultural work.

In 1920 he became a member of the Communist Party of Germany . He was one of the organizers of the regional cell of the KKE. In July 1931, he participated in counteracting the actions of Nazi stormtroopers in Altmark , was engaged in campaigning among the rural population, and revealed the truth about Nazism .

After the Nazis came to power from 1933 on an illegal position, a fighter of resistance to National Socialism .

In July 1933, Schulenburg was arrested by the SS and taken to Tangermünde prison, where he was brutally tortured, as a result of which he died in August 1933.

Later, a memorial in memory of him was created at the Tangermünde cemetery, where F. Schulenburg was buried. In 1984, a memorial stone was erected in Jericho .

One of the streets of Tangermünde bears his name.
