History

The building was built to house a kitchen factory in 1936 according to the project of architect Gruber. It was repeatedly reconstructed after World War II. During the reconstruction, the appearance was partially changed, the internal layout was lost. As of the 1980s, the building housed the Minsk factory of trust canteens, the Paparats-Kvetka restaurant, dining room No. 1, a dietary dining room, and a bar [1] [2] . As of the end of the 2010s. reconstructed.

Architecture

The two-story brick building was erected in the style of constructivism. The shape in plan is close to L-shaped with a complex volume in the corner. The entrance group is located in a semicircular protruding drum, above which there is a high lamp of a smaller radius, in which the stairwell is located. A narrow third floor of the banquet hall is located above the restaurant. Visors on reinforced concrete consoles are placed above the windows of the banquet hall. Structurally, the building is based on a three-span grid of columns and load-bearing upper walls. The ceilings on the ground floor are made of monolithic reinforced concrete. In the interiors of the restaurant halls and the dietary dining room, developed in 1974-1977. the Institute “Belgiprotorg” (architects L. Melnik, G. Sysoev) used wood, metal, decorative glass and other finishing materials [1] .
