The Retreat (2009)

A retired military man, a former commando of the grandfather, comes to his hometown, Moscow, to his daughter Anna and granddaughter Katya. But it turns out that he has nowhere to live: the daughter sold his apartment to help her new husband Pavel, who has big problems with his business. Seventeen-year-old granddaughter of Dedova, Katya, is going with her friend Masha for several days in St. Petersburg. They are going to live in a free apartment owned by Masha's relatives. But their journey turns into big problems. For help, Katya turns to Dedov.

“Retreat-2: We Are Not Leaving Our Own” (2010)

During an operation in one of the “hot spots”, Captain Zimin saves the life of his adoptive father, Colonel Dedov. Granddaughter of Dedova is studying at the institute, meets with a young man, is going to marry him, while Sergei Mikhailovich himself is waiting for a teacher's place in the Suvorov School. Once, Grandfather helped his disabled friend Kaverin get a ticket to a boarding house. Arriving at the sanatorium, he witnessed how two strong guys forcefully drag a young girl into the car. Kaverin tried to stand up for the poor thing, but he was beaten and thrown right on the road. Random passers-by brought him to the hospital, and doctors, seeing a military token, requested data in Moscow. So the incident became known to Dedov, who immediately went to look for bandits in order to avenge his friend.

"Retreat-4. Call Sign "Tramp" (2018)

Retired lieutenant colonel Yuri Zhukovsky - a bachelor with experience, has long been accustomed to loneliness and routine. The usual monotony collapses when he unexpectedly meets the former chief - General Terentyev, who sends him, the former commander of the special forces, with a mission to the military unit of the city of Zarechensk. There, Yuri will have to figure out the circumstances of the tragedy - the death of an ordinary soldier who decided to escape from the unit. Zhukovsky, despite resistance from the command and commission, begins his own investigation of this case and along the way learns about the criminal side of military life in the city.

Colonel Dedov long ago departed from big business, finding his vocation in the education of youth. But once an attempt is made on him: an unknown person enters his apartment, and only thanks to military skill and self-defense skills can Dedov avoid death. His situation is complicated by the fact that in the fight against the attacker, he kills the killer. Grandfather is in jail. Who could interfere with the old retirement? Is there any connection between the attempt and death of his old comrade Yegorov? And what really happened during the military operation in Angola in 2002? To find answers to these questions, Dedov needs to escape from prison.

"Retreat-6. Save the Enemy ”(2019)

Colonel Grandfather went to prison and is serving a sentence for the murder of a killer. A leak of top-secret developments was discovered in one of the institutes, and the head of the institution’s security service, retired colonel Grigoryev, suddenly disappears. They count on Dedov, because he is from the famous "old school", therefore he is able to find a traitor to his homeland, until he fled abroad. The retired colonel is only glad that he can leave the prison for a while, so he takes up this task and eventually dies himself.
