Peter the Great is a brand of collection brandy produced by the Kizlyar Brandy Factory . The drink was produced in 2003 to the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg [1] [2] [3] .

Brand Description
Cognac "Peter the Great" was released in 2003 specifically for the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. The recipe of the drink, which is kept strictly confidential, was developed under the leadership of Vladimir Grigoryants , who at that time headed the Kizlyar Brandy Factory [4] .
For the production of cognac, brandy distillate is used, produced by the classical technology by the method of double squeezing of wine materials on copper apparatus and aged for at least 25 years in barrels from mountain Caucasian centenary oak [4] .
The strength of the drink is 40% vol., With a sugar content of 7 g / dm³. The color is dark amber, has a velvety taste with a hint of chocolate, the aroma shows notes of vanilla and cinnamon, which enhance the variety of flavors of the drink. Long aftertaste with all the taste load does not seem heavy [5] [4] [6] .
Since the year of release, the drink has won more than 19 Grand Prix and 60 gold medals at international tasting competitions.
Since 2008, Peter the Great has been the official drink of the Kremlin’s protocol events and is served at meetings of the heads of state [4] [7] .
