The All Progressives Congress (MIC ) is a political party in Nigeria , founded on February 6, 2013, ahead of the 2015 elections . VPK candidate Mohammadu Bukhari defeated incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 31 presidential election. In addition, the party won most seats in the Senate and House of Representatives .

The party was created as a result of the union of the three largest opposition parties in Nigeria - the Congress of Nigeria, the Congress for Progressive Change, the People’s Party of Nigeria. Part of the Universal Progressive Large Alliance also joined the new party. [1] [2]
In December 2014, the military-industrial complex became an advisory member of the Socialist International . [3]
