Pyotr Semenovich Babkin ( 1921 - 2009 ) - Soviet physician, neurologist, professor of the Department of Neurology of the All-Russian State Medical Academy named after N. N. Burdenko, discoverer of the Babkin reflex [1] [2] .

Biography
Born July 13, 1921 in the village of Rogozhinsky (now Vadinsky district , Penza region ). During the Great Patriotic War he was a paramedic in the artillery regiment.
- 1950 - graduated with honors from the Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute .
- 1950-1953 - Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases, Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute;
- 1956-1968 - Associate Professor there.
- 1968-1990 - Head of the Department of Neurology, VGMI named after N. N. Burdenko ,
- Since 1991 - professor of the Department of Nervous Diseases in the same place.
He died in 2009 .

Pyotr Semenovich - co-author of the method of automated analysis of needle electromyography .

Member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
