Biography
Born on July 14, 1986 in Sevastopol . In 2003 he graduated from secondary school number 3 [1] , in 2005 he entered the Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov Moscow State University , Faculty of History , where he studied the history of the trade colonies of the Italian maritime republics of Venice and Genoa in the Northern Pontic under the guidance of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the RAS S. P. Karpov . In 2010, he graduated from Moscow State University with a diploma work “Acts of Venetian notaries Nicolas de Varsis and Benedetto de Smeritis as a source on the history of Tana 1430-1440”.
From 2010 to 2011 he studied at the magistracy at the Central European University in Budapest on the program ' Medieval Studies ' [2] . His master's thesis, Tana , a Venetian and Genoese Black Sea Trading Station in the 1430s: A Social and Economic History, [3] was dedicated to the social and economic history of the Tana commercial colony in the northern Black Sea coast in the first half of the 15th century. was awarded the annual Zvetlana-Mihaela Tanasa Memorial Fund award [4] for the best dissertation of the year.
In 2011—2015 - PhD-researcher at the Department of History at the European University Institute (Eng. European University Institute [5] ), where he defended his PhD-thesis on the topic 'The Colonies of the Black Sea Region: Evolution and Transformation' in 2015 (a monograph was later published on the basis of this dissertation by Routledge [6] ).
Since 2015 he has been working at the HSE Faculty of History in St. Petersburg: since 2015 he has been a senior lecturer, since 2017 he has been an associate professor, since 2018 he is also the head of the scientific and educational group (NGP), which studies sources on the history of medieval Italy [7] . Reads the following general and special courses: "Europe IV-XV centuries.", "Antiquity and Byzantium", "Latin Paleography."
