Sin: Monsters Creators ( born Sin: The Movie ) is a single-series OVA created by Phoenix Entertainment in 2000. The anime was based on Ritual Entertainment’s SiN game.

Content
Story
10 years ago, in 2027, the city of Freeport was on the verge of collapse. Inefficient and understaffed police forces lost in the long and difficult fight against crime. The city needed help, but the government could not cope with maintaining order on the streets. Therefore, a draft law was proposed, giving private corporations the right to form their own police - security forces, and they, in turn, should provide protection to companies and citizens of the city. This bill was passed, and so a new rule of law was established. John Blade must solve a series of mysterious abductions. As he delves into the ruthless underworld of a city, a complex mystery is revealed; In the heart of SinTEK Corporation and its leader, the ruthless and beautiful Elexis Sinclair. A brilliant biochemist, Sinclair will stop at nothing to achieve his goal: a plan that can trigger the next step of human evolution - or the spell is doomed to humanity.
Production and Release
Director Yasunori Urata, filmed Phoenix Entertainment , the premiere took place on October 24, 2000. The plot though is based on the game, but there are significant differences. For example, one of the main characters of the game - the hacker JC (JC) - was killed at the very beginning of the movie. ADV Films became a licensee in the US , and Madman Entertainment was licensed in Australia and New Zealand. The film was released on VHS and DVD in 2000 in Japan and the USA. A special DVD release was released in 2003 with additional features. In 2009, the film was reissued on DVD.
