General elections in Cuba were held on January 10, 1936 [1] . The president was a candidate from the Trilateral Coalition (alliance of the Liberal Party , Nationalist Union and Republican Action) Miguel Mariano Gomez . The coalition also won parliamentary elections, becoming the largest faction in the House of Representatives.
