Alexander Leonidovich Lapshin (born May 25, 1933 ) is a civil engineer, statesman, laureate of the USSR State Prize and the Prize of the USSR Council of Ministers .

Born on 05.23.1933 in Leningrad. In 1957 he graduated from the Leningrad Air Force Academy. AF Mozhaisky specialty military engineer-builder (1957).

  • 1957-1959 served in the army in an engineering position, then worked in the design organizations of the USSR Ministry of Energy.
  • 1959-1977 civil engineer, head of department, deputy. Ch. Engineer of the All-Union State Design Institute "Teploelektroproekt" .
  • 1977—1984 chief engineer of the GlavNIIproekt of the USSR Ministry of Energy.
  • 1984-1987 Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Atomic Energy Agency.
  • 1987–1990 Deputy Minister of Atomic Energy of the USSR.
  • Since 1990, Head of the Main Directorate for the Development of Atomic Energy of the IEP, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy and the Ministry of Atomic Energy of Russia; Head of the Department of Design, Investments and Construction of Minatom.

Member of the editorial board of the journal "Atomic Energy".

Since 2003, retired.

Winner of the State Prize of the USSR and the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. Awarded two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, Order of Friendship (1995).
