Initially, it also passed through the territory of the Kanavinsky , Leninsky and Avtozavodsky districts, the final stop was the Happy platform. Now the building of the Happy station is a monument of architecture, it houses the Avtozavodsky Wedding Palace.

The road has 3 stations and the length of the main routes is 3.2 km, the total length is 4.1 km. Narrow track - 750 mm . The plan is a triangle. The main station - Rodina - is located next to the May 1 park . The season begins on June 1 and ends on August 29.

The first train of the year goes under the steam locomotive KP-4 No. 430, which is one of the few narrow-gauge steam locomotives that remained on the move in Russia. A steam locomotive is also used during the celebration of Railway Day . The locomotive fleet also has three narrow-gauge diesel locomotives : TU7A No. 3346 (transferred from Kazan in January 2014) and TU10 (No. 003). On June 1, 2014, a monument to the diesel locomotive TU2 No. 233 was opened in front of the Rodina station building. The wagon fleet consists of two passenger trains of 6 wagons each , and two open Stagecoach wagons.

During the three summer months of 2011, about 13 thousand passengers were transported by the Children's Railway in Nizhny Novgorod. The revenue of the road amounted to over 514 thousand rubles.
