The village is located in the central part of the Oryol region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the central part of the Central Russian Upland , on the right bank of the Dernov Kolodets River , at a distance of about 12 kilometers (in a straight line) to the west-south-west (WSW) from the urban-type settlement Zalegoshch , administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 212 meters above sea level [2] .
