Geographical position
Puertesito de la Virgen is located in the central part of the state, approximately 2 kilometers north of the city of Aguascalientes . The absolute height is 1937 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to data obtained during the official census of 2005, 1786 people lived in the village (864 men and 922 women). There were 381 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 45.7% - residents under 18 years old, 47.6% - between 18 and 59 years old and 6.7% - aged 60 years and over. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years old was 96% [2] .
