In 1947 he graduated from the University of Helsinki with a master's degree. A perfectionist with great theoretical interest in the aesthetics of modern poetry, always striving for the perfection of his poems.
T. Anhava was the initiator of a new literary criticism , a formal method in literary criticism in Finland.
He was engaged in translations from English, Swedish, Polish, Russian and Japanese.
His poems are very reminiscent of Japanese and Chinese poetry, which T. Anhava translated.
He was buried in the Hietaniemi cemetery in Helsinki .
