Biography
Born into a peasant family in the Podolsky district of Moscow province .
He worked as a mechanic at the Podolsk Engineering Plant No. 460.
In 1941 , after the outbreak of World War II, he was evacuated to Izhevsk together with the factory. On the basis of two evacuated plants (Tula Arms No. 314 and Podolsky Machine-Building No. 460) on July 20, 1942, the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant was founded, where A. I. Lobanov began to work.
Since 1945 he worked in the experimental workshop: a mechanic, the acting head of the workshop, deputy head of the workshop, senior foreman, design engineer. The author of a number of designs of experienced sports and military pistols.
In 1947 - 1948 . participated in the competition for the development of a self-loading pistol to replace the TT pistol.
The designer of the starting pistol Izh-SPL (Lobanov's starting pistol), which was produced at the plant from 1953 to 1985 .
