Janos Jusko ( Hungarian Juszkó János ; , - ) - Hungarian road bicycle racer , speaking for the Hungarian cycling team in the 1960s. Biography

Janos Yusko was born on June 9, 1939 in the city of Szeged , Hungary . He began to engage in cycling in one of the local clubs, and later moved to Budapest for permanent residence, joining the capital's BVSK cycling club.

He made his international debut in the 1962 season, taking part in the World Cycle Race for the first time.

In 1964, he became a member of the Hungarian national team and, thanks to a series of successful appearances, was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Tokyo Summer Olympics . Started here in the individual group race and in the team skating for a while together with team partners Andras Mesaros , Laszlo Maho and Ferenc Stamus - showed results in these disciplines 24 and 12, respectively.

After the Tokyo Olympics, Yusko remained in the Hungarian cycling team and continued to take part in major international races. In 1964 and 1965, he was twice recognized as the best road racing cyclist in Hungary. In total, he took part in eight World Cycle Races, including in 1966 he managed to win at one of the stages. Winner and winner of the national multi-day race " Tour of Hungary " at the individual stages.

He completed his sports career in 1973. Subsequently, he worked as a school teacher of physical education, proved to be a trainer in cycling.

He died on May 2, 2018 at the age of 78 years [3] .
