Biography

In 1875 he entered the service of volunteers . In 1878, after graduating from the Vilna Military School, he was promoted to ensign and issued at the Dinaburg 1st Fortress Regiment. In 1979, he was transferred to second lieutenants , in 1884 to lieutenants , and in 1889 to captains of staff . In 1897, after graduating from the Officer's Rifle School, he was promoted to captain, in 1903, to lieutenant colonel .

Since 1904, a participant in the Russo-Japanese War , a battalion commander. For military distinctions in this company he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree with swords. In 1907 he was promoted to colonel , headquarters officer of the 20th Rifle Regiment . Since 1913, the commander of the 44th Siberian Rifle Regiment .

Since 1914, a participant in World War I , at the head of his regiment, was wounded. On November 7, 1915, he was awarded the St. George Arms for courage:

Since 1916, Major General , was in the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Minsk Military District .
