Kolhof, Jurry

Jüren Jakob (Jürri) Kolhof ( niderl. Jurjen Jacob (Jurrie) Koolhof , January 10, 1960 - January 28, 2019) [1] is a Dutch footballer, striker, and football coach.

Kolhof played for a number of clubs in the Netherlands , but achieved the greatest success with PSV . For this club, he scored 69 goals in 106 matches and in the mid-1980s formed a good tandem with Norwegian Hallvar Thoresen .

Club career

He began his career at the Venda Club, joining the first team in 1978. In the second season with the club, he began to score a lot, what attracted the attention of other teams, in the end he moved to Vitesse . During the 1981/82 transfer window, he signed a contract with PSV, his first club in the big leagues .

His first years in Eindhoven were very successful. He quickly adapted to a higher level of the game and for two and a half years was the main player of the team. Then in 1984 he suffered a serious injury. He has not played for two years. In the 1986/87 season, he returned to the field, but never fully recovered. He played at the professional level for another seven years, mainly in the First Division . In 1994, he ended his career at De Graafschap .

Career in the national team

He first played for the Netherlands national team on August 14, 1982 against Greece . In the 46th minute, he replaced Peter Wildsute . At that time, the account was not opened, but in the 54th minute, Edo Opkhov's goal allowed the Orange players to win the game.
