Ivan Ivanovich Firyulin (born September 10, 1954 , Lipovka , Penza Region ) is a Russian agronomist , statesman and politician. Member of the State Duma of the VII convocation , member of the United Russia faction , member of the State Duma committee on regional politics and problems of the North and the Far East [1] .

Biography
In 1973 he received a secondary technical education after graduating from the Penza Agricultural College. In 1979, he received higher education in the specialty "agronomy", received the qualification of "scientist-agronomist" in absentia graduating from the Penza Agricultural Institute . In 2002 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of agricultural sciences [2] . From 1973 to 1978 he worked at the Way to Communism state farm, first as a seed agronomist and later as chief agronomist. From 1978 to 1985, he worked at the Sputnik state farm in the Bashmakovsky district as the chief agronomist. From 1985 to 1991 he worked at the Petrovsky state farm of the Bashmakovsky district as a director. In 1992, the state farm changed its status and became a national enterprise, which continued to be led by I. I. Firyulin. Later, the organization once again changed its status and became known as the Petrovsky agricultural production cooperative, which from 1997 to 2012 headed Firyulin as chairman of the SEC [3] .
In December 2007, he ran for deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region in the single-mandate constituency No. 6, as a result of the counting of votes, he was elected as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region [4] .
From 2012 to 2013 he worked as Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Region [5] . After the resignation, he resumed his work in the SEC “Petrovsky” and worked as deputy chairman for livestock and personnel issues from 2013 to 2016 [6] .
In September 2016, he ran for the State Duma on the lists of "United Russia", as a result of the distribution of mandates, he became a deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation [7] .

From 2016 to 2019, during the term of office of a deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation, he co-authored 13 legislative initiatives and amendments to draft federal laws [8] .
