History
1932 - 1991
A small creamery in the Yampol district center was established in the 1920s, after the formation of the Yampolsky district and in 1926, together with a fruit and vegetable canning factory, was the main enterprise of the local processing industry [1] .
In the course of industrialization , in accordance with the first five-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR, the Yampolsky butter factory was reconstructed and in 1932 it was commissioned as a dairy enterprise [2] .
During World War II, Yampol was occupied by the advancing German-Romanian forces on July 17, 1941 and incorporated into the Transnistria ; on March 17, 1944, it was liberated by Soviet troops. During the retreat, German troops sacked and completely destroyed the creamery, but by the end of 1944 it was restored and resumed operation [1] .
In 1951, as a result of the union of several local agricultural cartels, a large collective farm was created to them. Suvorov, who provided the plant with raw materials [1] .
In the 1960s, the creamery was reconstructed and expanded, a new butter shop and a biomycin workshop were built here, two lines for the continuous production of butter were installed [1] .
In general, in Soviet times, the creamery was one of the largest enterprises of the district center [1] [3] [4] .
After 1991
After the independence of Ukraine, the plant was transferred to the State Committee of the Food Industry of Ukraine.
In July 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the creamery [5] . Subsequently, the state-owned enterprise was transformed into an open joint-stock company [2] .
Later, due to the expansion of the range of products, the creamery was renamed the Yampolsky creamery [2] .
The economic crisis that began in 2008 complicated the situation of the enterprise and the plant ended 2009 with a 7.5% reduction in gross income from product sales and a profit of UAH 31 thousand [2] .
In 2010, by decision of the meeting of shareholders, the plant’s shares were transferred from documentary to non-documentary form [6] . Subsequently, the plant was reorganized into a closed joint-stock company [7] .
Current status
The plant is engaged in milk processing, production of butter , chocolate butter, whole milk products and cheese.
