History and Description
Column type station. It was put into operation on August 21, 2004 [1] .
The opening of the station was dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the city. The opening was attended by President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma . The station is located in a residential area of Pavlovo Pole . Nearby are the campus, the Mir Hotel, shops, a supermarket. At the exit of the metro there is a public transportation stop.
During the design, two versions of the station design were developed. In one of them, it was planned to build a two-level bridge over Sarzhin Yar, on the lower tier of which the station was supposed to be, and on the upper tier — to pass the carriageway of Lenin Avenue. However, in the end, another project was implemented, according to which the station was erected in the body of the embankment dam.
