Biography
Vasily Vdovenkov was born on March 25, 1892 in a family of personal honorary citizens who professed Old Believers .
Rewards
Vasily Stepanovich was awarded with the following awards:
- St. George's Arms (Highest Order of November 26, 1916)
- - “for the fact that during long-range aerial reconnaissance on August 28, 1915, made under adverse atmospheric conditions and under such strong artillery fire on the way back that sometimes it was necessary to fly through the haze of explosions, I found two infantry convoys, one about 8 versts, another about 7 versts moving east; the information about the approach of these large columns of the enemy, which were later fully confirmed, was timely delivered to the army headquarters and to the headquarters of the corps, which influenced the successful course of further operations ” ;
- Order of St. Vladimir 4th degree with swords and bow;
- Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and bow (Order for the Special Army No. 449 of May 6, 1917)
