The youngest daughter of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his wife, First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva , the granddaughter of Heydar Aliyev .
Arzu Aliyeva was educated in Switzerland and the UK with her older sister Leila .
On September 3, 2011 in Baku , her wedding was held with Samed Kurbanov (born in 1988), the only son of the well-known Russian businessman Aydin Kurbanov, one of the founders of the All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress, who died in 2003.
