Content
Biography
Born in the Yuryevets district of the Ivanovo region. From 1945 to 1950 he served in the Soviet army. He was a Veteran of World War II. After returning from the army, he entered the Kostroma Trade and Cooperative School. After receiving education, Pleshanov was sent to Furmanov, where he worked as head of the trade department of the local district. In 1964, he was appointed director of the Furmanovsky bargaining. After joining the canteens trust, he took over the post of general director of the Furmanovsky Bargaining association. Over the many years of managing the enterprise, Pleshanov made him one of the best in the USSR. Under him, the first original self-service shops, fruit bars and cafes appeared in the city and in the region. [3] For 25 consecutive years, bargaining held the passing Red Banner of the Ministry of Trade of the Russian Federation and the Central Committee of the branch trade union.
He actively participated in the life of Furmanov, was repeatedly elected as a deputy of the city and regional Council. In March 1990, Sergey Pleshanov on an alternative basis was elected to the Supreme Council of the RSFSR , defeating Mikhail Knyazyuk , First Secretary of the CPSU Regional Committee. [4] Until 1993, parliament was the supreme authority of the new Russia. In August 2013, he was awarded the medal "For Merit to the Furmanovsky Municipal District." [five]
He died on March 24, 2018 at the 93rd year of his life. [6]
