Geography
the settlement is located in the southwestern part of the Astrakhan region, in the Volga delta on an island flown by the Bakhtemir and Podstepok sleeves, at the entrance of Bakhtemir to the Volga-Caspian canal .

According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010 the population of the village was 371 people (174 men and 197 women) [1] . According to the 2002 census , Russians constituted 97% of the 509 inhabitants in the national population structure [3] .
