Donnie Steele is an American musician. Better known as Slipknot's first guitarist. He played solo guitar in the band from 1995 to 1996, and returned to the band in 2011 as a bass player. His guitar parts can be heard on the demo of Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat. . During the recording of this disc, Donny decided to leave the group for religious reasons. [1] Prior to Slipknot, Steele played in the band Body Pit.

Donnie currently plays the lead guitar in the Killpact band [2] .
After the death of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray , the band invited Donnie, as someone familiar with Paul from the 90s, to replace him at concerts at the Columbiahalle festival in the summer of 2011. [3] Donnie agreed, having played backstage. It has now become known that the group is no longer working with him.
Currently plays the guitar, is engaged in a solo project.
