Josh “Nar” Brenár ( born August 6 , 1974 in Des Moines , Iowa ) is an American musician, former member of the Slipknot metal band and current member of On a Pale Horse .

The nickname "Gnar" was given to him because of his habit of constantly cracking his knuckles.
Biography
Before joining Slipknot, Josh played in many bands - VeXX , Body Pit , and Inveigh Catharsis .
Josh joined Slipknot in September 1995 as a guitarist. Josh was involved in the recording of Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat albums . and Slipknot , but was later replaced by James Routh . He was also the one who commissioned the red costumes of the group and spent time popularizing the group. On the band’s self-titled album, he recorded all but one of the songs, Purity, in which James Ruth had already participated.
After leaving Slipknot in late 1998, Josh joined the band Undone. He also recorded two albums with the group Vanilla Ice ( Hard To Swallow and Bipolar ).
He currently plays On a Pale Horse .
Mask
His mask is called a black mask of death, a black knitted helmet and a mask of addiction, although in reality it is just a piece of skin stretched over his head, like a mask of a terrorist.
