St. George Monastery ( German: Kloster St. Georg ) is a former Benedictine monastery located in the Baden-Württemberg city of Isni im Allgoy and founded in 1096. It was dissolved during the secularization of 1803 and in 1806 it became known as Isni Castle ( German: Schloss Isny ). The monastery church of Saints George and James was transferred to the city in 1868, becoming a parish; in 1942 the castle was sold to the city of Stuttgart , which used its buildings to house a hospital and a nursing home .
