Villa Lahusen ( Villa Lahusen ) is a two-storey mansion in the Lower Saxon town of Delmenhorst , located next to the building of the former Nordwolle factory. "Factory Villa", built by the owner of the company in 1886, is an urban architectural monument .

History and Description
In 1886, Cristian Lahuzen ordered the construction of his own residence in Delmenhorst next to the Norddeutsche Wollkämmerei & Kammgarnspinnerei (Nordwolle) factory: at that time it was a common practice to build a production master’s villa next to the company itself [1] . The villa, the garden of which was created in 1893, differs markedly from the neighboring production sites in its appearance and was located so as not to be exposed to harmful production. The original building of the villa resembled a small country house . In 1888, the company's founder, Cristian Lahousen, transferred the management of the company to his son Karl; Carl, who moved to the villa with his wife, in the next 23 years had nine children. As a result, by 1910 the building was rebuilt and substantially expanded, becoming a separate house for a large family. After the death of Karl, his son and successor Georg Karl Lahousen transferred the family residence to Hohehorst Palace, not far from the commune of Schwanewede . Today the building in Delmenhorst is privately owned and divided into more than 14 apartments and suites.
