Biography
Sergey Vladimirovich Baikov was born in Kuibyshev (now Samara ). He studied at the Kuibyshev College of Music.
In 1982 he graduated from the Moscow Music and Pedagogical Institute. Gnesinykh (class N. A. Verbova and K. P. Lisovsky ).
At the invitation of the leader of the choir, Vladimir Minin became a soloist of the Moscow Chamber Choir and since 1982 has been a soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic .
Since 1987, he also became a soloist with the State Russian Choir of the USSR .
He also worked with such groups as the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, the Berlin Chamber Orchestra, the Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, the Radio France Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, Moscow Virtuosi, St. Petersburg Camerata, the Gzhel Theater Show, the Bolshoi Academic State Television and Radio Choir, Male Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate, Chamber Orchestra of the Lithuanian SSR, as well as the instrumental ensemble “Russian Soul” under the direction of Viktor Temnov. He was a soloist of the Moscow theater " Arbat Opera ".
The repertoire of the singer “Requiem” by Mozart, “Mass” in B minor by Bach, “Messiah” by Handel, “Ceremonial Mass” by Rossini, Shostakovich's 13th and 14th symphonies, “The Bell” by Rachmaninov, works by Russian, Soviet and foreign composers - Sviridov, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Beethoven and many others. He toured in Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Japan, Greece, Portugal, Holland, Switzerland, England, North and South Korea, China, South Africa, Mexico, and the USA.
Since 2009 he has been working in the Chamber Music Theater. B. A. Pokrovsky (since 2018 - soloist of the Chamber Stage named after B. A. Pokrovsky of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia).
