History
On June 12, 2015 in Almaty, representatives of Russia handed another copy of the Victory Banner to the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan. The ceremony was held in the presence of the highest command of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After the ceremony of handing over the Banner, the participants laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and paid tribute to those who died in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. The banner was transferred for storage to the newly opened Museum of Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana [1] .
On December 23, 2015, in Moscow, before the start of the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS Member States , the Russian Minister of Defense , Army General Sergei Shoigu, handed over another copy of the Victory Banner to the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Imangali Tasmagambetov . This official copy of the Victory Banner took a place in the Museum of Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( Astana ); The banner is placed on the exposition dedicated to the Great Patriotic War [2] .
