He also participated in the occupation of the Sudetenland , where he contributed to the creation of police stations.

World War II

From October 1940, he served as police chief in Memel , and in January 1941 he became police chief in Memel [2] . On August 15, 1941, Himmler was admitted to the SS , receiving the title of Oberführer. In the summer of 1941, he participated in the creation of the Tilsit Einsatzkommand, which was subordinate to Einsatzgruppe A and operated on the German-Lithuanian border. On June 24, 1941, together with the head of the unit, Hans-Joachim Boehme and the head of the SD in Tilsit, Werner Hersmann carried out executions of 201 Jews in Gargzdai and massacres in Kreting . After the shootings he personally destroyed the surviving people [3] . Since October 1942 he was the head of the SS and police in Kharkov. After the war

After the war, he changed his name and became Bernd Fisher. He worked as a sales representative in a campaign for the production of vacuum cleaners in Stuttgart . In 1955 he became the head of the camp for displaced persons in near Ulm [1] . However, his past became known, and he was removed from office. He then filed a lawsuit with the Labor Court for reinstatement. The case became publicly known and one newspaper published that "the former SS Obersturmfuhrer is suing for restoration." This message was seen by a man who knew Fischer Schweder himself, and who contacted the prosecutor's office, which served as the reason for the arrest and the start of the trial. He was arrested in 1956 and brought to trial in the city of Ulm. At the Ulm trial in the case of the Einsatzgrupp in 1958, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for complicity in the killing of 526 people. He died in prison two years later from pulmonary embolism [2] [4] .
