Elena Slough ( eng. Elena Slough ; July 8, 1889 Horsham , Pennsylvania - October 5, 2003 Trenton , New Jersey ) is an American long-lived. She was the oldest living person in the United States and second in the world at the time of death.

Biography
She was born in July 1889 (or 1888; scientists disagree about her year of birth). She lost her first husband in 1918 and became a widow for the second time in 1936. Her daughter Wanda Allen cared for her to 102 years. Later, Elena moved to a nursing home.
In the spring of 2003, at 113, she became America’s oldest living man after the death of Mary Christian . Wanda died in a nursing home in which she lived with her mother, on October 1, 2003, at the age of 90. And 4 days later Helena herself died.
