Village Church in Blindow ( German: Dorfkirche in Blindow ) - a Protestant church in the Blind district of Prenzlau ; a fragment of the facade ( tongs ) created in the 13th century was preserved in the stone building of the temple; church windows were expanded in the middle of the 19th century. History and Description
The village church in Blindov, today a district of the city of Prenzlau, is a rectangular stone building, in which on the east side there is a fragment of the pediment (gable) created in the 13th century. The windows of the originally Romanesque temple were expanded in the middle of the 19th century, and the western bell tower was added around 1885; the plastered square upper part of the bell tower appeared in 1917. The three-tiered altar of the church, characterized by relief scenes and allegorical figures, refers to 1607 [1] . The department with embossed emblems was built at about the same time - around 1600. The font for baptism was created in the XIV century - it is the oldest part of the interior of the temple.
In front of the altar are two gravestones of the 18th century. Emporia and benches were added in the 18th century, while the church organ was built by Karl August Buchholz (1796–1884) in the first half of the 19th century and rebuilt by Grüneberg ( Szczecin ) in 1911. The stained-glass windows of the temple were created according to the sketches of Otto Linnemann (1876-1961) from Frankfurt .
