Auchausen Monastery ( German: Kloster Auhausen ) is a former Benedictine monastery located on the territory of the Bavarian commune Auchausen and belonging to the diocese of Eichstett . From the time of the Middle Ages to this day, this monastery has been regularly confused with the eponymous monastery in the city of Herbrechtingen ( Baden-Württemberg land). According to local legends, the Bavarian monastery on the Wörnitz River was founded in the 10th century by Count Ernst von Truhendingen and Hartmann from Lobdeburg (d. 958).
